MY STORY
As child and teen, I grew up on the east coast of Canada in Cape Breton Island. I had this way of being real, being myself and I guess, honest. Back then, I’d have no clue that THAT would my secret weapon in life to guide me through my career.
I think my best compliment I’d ever received was from an old elementary school friend, who later became a new Facebook friend. He said, “Cheryl, my most prominent memory of you was you were the girl that talked to everyone. You were the nicest person that never categorized people by their cliques. You were a friend to all and people loved that about you.” I’d like to think that compliment best summarizes me now and back then.
